I got my first real Gundam
Bought it at the five and dime
Flew it till my fingers bled
Was the summer of 0079

Me and some guys from the White Base
Flew a team and fought real hard
Ryu got killed, Hayato got married
Should've known we'd never get far

Oh when I look back now
The One Year War seemed to last forever
And if I had the choice
Yeah I'd always wanna be there
Those were the best days of my life!

And now the times are changing
Looking at everyone who's come and gone
Sometimes when I fly that old Gundam
I think about Lalah, wondering what went wrong

That colony seemed to drift forever
When it finally dropped
We knew that it was now or never
