GUNDAM: RE-GZ

A few quick questions now that I have a 1/144 scale model of an RE-GZ
from CCA:
1: Is it really supposed to be SEA-GREEN?
2: Does it transform in CCA?
3: If so... could you roughly describe the transformation, i.e., where
the wings appear from, where the cockpit comes from, etc...
4: What are the weapons on its forearms?
5: Where is its beam sabre kept?
6: Is its gun paticularly powerful?
And a quick Geara Doga Question: Does it have any weapons built into the
front of its shield?
And a 0083 Question: What is a Dra-C?

Re-GZ is green??? I thought it's white+blue+red , like ZG.

Well, yes. when Kayla was piloting it. But I won't call it a
transformation since the front part of the "wave-rider" which bears the wings
simply detaches from the MS. It's sort of like the G-Denfenser in Z-G.

Re-GZ is very similar to Z-G. (Re-GZ = Redefined Gundam Zeta)
Re-GZ is the mass-produced version of Z-G. The cockpit is the red chest area
like that on Zeta Gundam. See above for the "transformation".

Missiles. (Similar to Z-G)

On the sides of the waist (...same as Z-G)
% 6: Is its gun paticularly powerful?
No .. If it is, Amuro won't need to design the Nu-Gundam.

The CCA #1 model I have is modeled in red, yellow, a kind of muted dark
blue, and sea-green... I suppose this is correct since GMs are usually
painted with some awful pastel color?

I've never seen Zeta Gundam... so you'll understand that I don't know most
of your references...
So I expect this is one of thos two-part transformers? Is the ZG like this
too? The "Plane" parts conveniently dissappear when not needed?

I Hear it has a very powerful beam cannon on its 'nose'... I was trying
to see if I could figure out where that nose was on the RE-GZ in mech mode.

The Forearm missiles are one-shot deals then?

Hmm... unlike my other Gundam kits, this one doesn't come with a
'deactivated' beam sabre on it anywhere.... I can't really see WHERE it
would fit on the Gundam's waist... but I'm sure it's possible...

In the movie, it was simply blue, white, and red. Dunno why they gave you
a pastel color...

The Zeta is a true transformer. The Re-GZ doesn't transform at all, it
just has an attachment available that has wings, a powerful beam cannon, and
thrusters. As for the Zeta, the backpack contains the wings, the thrusters,
etc. I.e. it doesn't split apart from the Zeta at any time.

Simple, the plane-like attachment goes away, the cannon goes with it,
and all you're left with is an above average MS with above average firepower.

It fits into a compartment in the skirt portion. Something like that is
hard to incorporate in a small-scale kit.

Wrist I think, not sure though

not really. Presumably similar to Zeta Gundam rifle in output (5.7 MW). Note
despite the fact that the RE-GZ is the last in the Zeta Plus line, its fire-
power is significantly weaker than the earlier models carrying beam smartguns.

Yes, machine gun and four sturm faust.

modified Zaku. No legs. Space use only MS. One of the most weakly armed MS
in the history of Mobile Suits (40 mm vulcan, beam sabre).

Actually I might have made a mistake with my ealier post. The RE-GZ might be
a flying armor MS and not a VMsAWRs. Will have to get back to you on that.
But the other guy is right I don't recall it transforming as much as ejecting.
So it might well be a flying armor MS.

Just think of that attachment as a hangglider-human affair blown up to the
scale of an MS. The ReGZ itself doesn't transform. It can just attach/
detach the winged backpack.
