Anyway, here are the "answers"; everyone here'd better know the
"questions"!:
$400 - This anime show didn't start on TV; its characters were first
part of Nintendo's "Pocket Monsters"
$800 - This classic 5-letter anime film isn't named for director
Kurosawa, but rather a boy who destroys Tokyo.
$1200 - In this anime TV Series, Bumblebee turned in to a VW Beetle;
in the 2007 live-action movie, he got upgraded to a Camaro.
$1600 - This "Lunar" Naoko Takeuchi creation is an example of a
"Magical Girl" given powers to save the world.
$2000 - One of the Highest-Grossing films in Japanese history, is the
anime film about this title 14th C. Princess.

I don't recall a princess of any significance in the period.

Doesn't count. Or, if it does, then "The Rescuers Down Under" and "The
Simpsons" both count because they were dubbed into Japanese too.

Now entire *seasons* made exclusively for the Japanese market, on
the other hand . . .
This not even including the whole thing being based on a line of
Japanese toys!
