Three promos done for AX by Alternate Vision; might be trouble to
view, but might also be worth it . . . oh *hell* yeah I'm going!:

Absolutely zero regrets about being banned from this piece of shit.

Good God, about the only thing which *MIGHT* be worth doing is waiting
around to see what big-time shoe drops in the next week or two,
according to those in the blogosphere.

Why? Because you'd feel somehow required to show up and attempt to
"enlighten" the staff with your infalliable judgements?

So...you not only like to watch/read about slo-mo car crashes, your entire
life revolves around WAITING for such disasters to happen?

That's a sad, sad little life you have there.

And if absolute disaster doesn't come, then what?

I wish it were that easy... *sarcasm*

I mean, the last two years, I'd been beginning to have serious
questions about wanting to go (so much so last year that I don't think
I even pre-regged until about a week before the show). This year,
just plain nothing that draws any real interest to me even if I could
go.

Tack on the unsafe situation, the incompetents running it, and fans
like you, I have no regrets about not only not going, but not being
allowed to.

Life *IS* a slo-mo car crash right now. (Speaking in general, not
specific to myself or anyone else.)

The anime industry, you can speed up the car crash a bit... I mean,
the only real reason to be an anime fan right now is either to rob the
anime companies blind or watch them go out of business because of
those who rob the anime companies blind.

Define "absolute disaster"... Methinks we're already *there* with
respect to anime.

Hahaha. This just put an odd image in my head:

Dateline, LA convention center, Downtown LA.

Onlookers were puzzled by a public display of oddly dressed people
supposedly from the nearby anime convention, holding hands with homeless
people, local business operators, security and police officers all singing
'Kum-by-yah', 'I Want To Teach The World To Sing', and other folk songs.
When asked what prompted the feel-good sing along, one person said something
about wanting to disappoint someone known only as Darkstar.

You know, the stupid thing is:

If that were simply the cause of such an absurd display (not absurd on
the basis of that it wouldn't be good, absurd on the basis that it has
no realistic basis of ever happening...), I'd probably take it. :)
