While Blue Dragon continues on Jetstream after being take off CN
Prime, it seems Zatch Bell's Jetstream airing is now up to the final
episodes that aird on CN, and continuing on. Of course, Hikaru no Go
has aired fully on Jetstream for almost its entirety (IIRC, ten
episodes left) . . .

Even if it is "derivative" or whatever, I happen to like it and watch it on
jetstream, but I kinda wish it had not been taken off TV.

I thought only up to where it ended on CN were all the ones that were
dubbed. Have more been dubbed since?

I think it is interesting that a boring game like go actually was turned
into a pretty good anime, and the go pieces don't turn into monsters or
whatever. I think, though, that is why it is a good anime.

Whatever happened to DB and DBZ. Were their on-line ratings just too low?
Does CN just have limited server space/bandwidth and CN wants to concentrate
on other shows for the time being? What is the deal?

Eh, it hardly had to do with the game, so that alienated the gamers.
Then they added in the fanservice shenanigans, so that alienated the kids
that the game tries to attract (it's a kiddie-ish RPG).
Even Microsoft (who pushed the game for its 360) moved away from it.
So, it lost a lot of its supporters, so it had nobody to back it
when CN pulled it.

IIRC, 102 Zatch eps were dubbed anticipating 2 CN seasons' worth.
But CN dropped it before then, but I think YTV in Canada aired the rest.

Those'll probably be back just in time for next year's movie.

Laters. =)

Well, I have never played the game, don't own an XBOX 360, am not part of
that demographic, and don't mind fanservice at all, so I like the show.

Well, it was just an aimless ship.
If they want to target the gamers, then target the gamers.
If they want the youths, then target the youths.
I don't think the anime production company knew what they were doing;
they squandered the anticipation that came with the game.
It's like they were aiming for the otaku but with a family-friendly game.
