With all the Canadian posters here, I though this might be
interesting . . .

Anyone who follows comic strips should be aware that Great Canadian
Comic For Better or For Worse came to a sugary sweet end August 31st,
and proceeded to go right back to the start for "newruns," which
themselves came from a failed attempt to "hybridize" the comic. It's
also become known that Lynn's long-time husband Rod left her for a
younger woman. That ending now seemed like a way to fantasize her way
out of the mess her life had become, and keeping the comic going a way
to keep *herself* going. Well, not it seems the latter was more
literally true than expected . . .

I recall someone here saying they once knew Rod Johnston; warning,
what follows paints a very, *very* nasty picture of him . . .:

This is the big one:

"When it came to finances, for example, she had entrusted everything
to her husband and was shocked to discover, in the days following his
departure, that her bank accounts were empty. Suddenly, the cartoonist
whose strip appears in more than 2000 newspapers around the world, the
Gemini Award winner and Pulitzer Prize nominee, and the first female
to ever win the prestigious Reuben Award from the U. S.-based National
Cartoonists Society, didn't have enough cash to buy groceries. "

This is the most emotional and personal Lynn has gotten in an
interview regarding the events of the last two years, so this may have
to be taken with a grain of salt. Still, Rod comes off as a major
league a-hole, and the mess FBOFW became is almost forgivable . . .
