Spring 2013 TV Anime season - 2nd episodes.
On seeing the 2nd episode of a series we see if it has any staying power
or was all the eye-catching effort put into episode 1 :-)

Red Data Girl:
I've now seen up to episode #4, which continues to be action-filled
and surprising. In #4, there is supernatural action at the school in
Tokyo. Let's hope it's not all going to be supernatural school-based
combat thereafter.

Dansai Bunrio Crime Edge (The Severing crime Edge).
Episode #2, with some supernatural violence and no hair fetish, is
less interesting than #1.

Oreimo/ Ore no Imouto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai (My sister can�t be
this cute) 2:
If you're following this show, episode #2 is of the same standard as
#1. Kirino is neglecting her friends in favour of a hand-held game, and
when Kirino's young friend Ayase complains to Kirino's brother Kyosuke,
he intervenes. Kirino lends him the game, but he too gets hooked on it.
The game, in which a 'cute girl' responds in real time to spoken audio
input, really does look frighteningly addictive.

Aku no Hana (The Flowers of Evil):
The strange artwork is as in episode #1. The principal character Kasuga
has to choose between the horror of confessing the shameful theft of
Saeki's gym kit, and the horror of being blackmailed by the weird
Nakamura, who soon removes some joy from his life. I'll continue watching.

Suisei no Gargantia/ Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet:
The second episode, inevitably, is set entirely on the planet. It still
looks good, and maintains the level of sci-fi adventure entertainment of
the first episode. However, when Ledo intervenes in a local dispute, the
Caliber's ability to distinguish between good and bad humans and deal
with the latter stretches credibility. I'll continue watching.

Yahari ore no Seishun Love Come wa Machigatteiru (OreGairu)/ My Youth
Romantic Comedy is Wrong as I Expected:
Not the greatest show of the season, but some sharp-tongued dialogue and
the arrival of a big-headed but talentless amateur author at the Public
Service Club provides some chuckles. I'll continue watching.

Skingeki no Kyojin (Attack on Titan):
In episode #2, the attack by the horrible giants continues. Then we get
some info-dump, and a fast-forward to a later time in which our
obstinate hero, Eren, is enrolling in a defence corps. Overall, it's
rather a let-down.

Mushibugyo: It's a good-looking show, and episode #2 delivers the same
sort of undemanding shounen entertainment as #1.

Zettai Boei Leviatan:
Some stuff in a swamp happens in episode #2 but I'm afraid that this moe
comedy show has exceeded my attention span.

Aiura (short):
In episode #2 we meet all three girls properly, which isn't that
interesting, and there is some inconsequential dialog. The detailed and
lovely backgrounds of #1 give way to a low-cost school interior. Oh
dear. At least it's still short. Some of the character design reminds
me of "Soredemo Machi wa Mawatteiru". I wonder if there's any connection?

Namichigiwa no Muromi-San:
In episode #2 the annoying mermaid Muromi introduces another mermaid,
who seems to be long-lived and to have some rather alarming powers. It's
amusing, but I can feel my interest ebbing.
