Going old-school and watching every episode of "Dirty Pair" - in order.

After that, "Summer Wars" is on the top of the to-watch pile.

Only watch Naruto every week! Started this week with Blue Exorcist,
looked fun so think I'll continue watching those.

Looking forward to hearing what you like in it. Particular scenes,
episodes, etc. And do you think you'll go on to watch the sequel, Onegai
Twins?

I just went through a set of Ouran Host Club disks, and am now working
on the second season of "The Melancoly of Haruhi Suzimiya" (watching
fan subs for the second time... Japan Town Video has been out of the
disks for months). I expect on Sunday I'll go see the "The
Disappearence of Haruhi Suzimiya" over at New People in SF's
Japantown... the J-pop Summit is this weekend.

Ouran Host Club holds up well: a really funny series loaded with parody
and satire, and yet where you care about the characters and what's going
on. I like the Manga version, too (number 17 is taking forever to appear).

With "Haruhi Suzimiya", I find that the much reviled "Endless Eight" arc
is at least visually interesting on re-viewing, but "the Sigh" (about
the making of their amateur movie) is just okay... the things that are
good about it are very upfront and memorable.

I tend to watch old stuff.

Lately I've been looking at the Original Dirty Pair OVAs and am watching
an old VHS tape of Metal Angel Marie (a.k.a. My Dear Marie)- basically,
guy fancies girl but being too scared to make a move, builds a robot
version of her- and all hell breaks loose. No idea why as very, very silly.

Somewhat more interesting was the last thing I watched- Wings of
Honneamise about a guy who volunteers to be his world's first astronaut,
but the country just wants to use the space programme as an excuse for
war with its principle enemy. The film also goes into his relationship
with a woman who is quite pious and has strong anti-war views- quite in
contrast to the situation around them.
