Myself and my colleagues are currently working on the beginnings of an
animation project intended for television. Our goal is to create an
intelligent, lively, realistic, animated epic that will span between
26 and 32 episodes in total, with two hour-long episodes as the
finale. At the moment, I regret that we are not able to disclose over
the internet the nature of the project for reasons of copyright.
Because of our lack of budget and staff at this time, we have sought
another means of pitching our idea to executives, instead of the time
tested method of meeting with them with only an idea in our heads.
We want to build a web site. Something cool and fun, that will grab
the attention of our soon-to-be audience and create an online fan
base. The site will be extremely well publicised over the internet and
around the Los Angeles / Hollywood area. We have the tools, we have
the story, we have the characters. What we lack is art.
This is where you, as the artist, come in. We are looking for people
to donate a small amount of their time to drawing concept art for one
of our many characters, so we can use that art on the web site and on
flyers and posters. You chose who you draw. There are sixteen
characters in total, all with unique personalities and appearances. We
can send you character biographies and ideas on their appearance, and
in return you can draw us what you perceive the character to look
like. Then we will take it from there. We are unfortunately unable to
pay ANYBODY for their time at the moment, but this is a great
opportunity for someone wanting to get their comic art shown to the
masses. We are also keen on keeping on board whoever's art we like, so
this could become a very profitable venture in the future for a
partial amount of your time now.
The style we are looking for is a hybrid of Cowboy Bebop, Spawn: The
Animated Series, and Batman (the original WB series). As for the show,
imagine GI Joe crossed with Cowboy Bebop and Ghost in the Shell. We
want realism, but we want action and technology to play a large part.
