"Here, let's alter THIS reality."
Toltiir blinked. "That reality has a divergence
point of Akane dying as a doll, and Ranma being thrown
out of the Tendo-ke by Soun for not protecting her. That
timeline gets pretty divergent anyway."
"Yes," agreed Hoshime, goddess of defense.
"Agreed," said her husband Etragar, god of
healing. "We'd prefer a happier ending, though with you
around all we can be sure of is that it's weirder."
"Why, thank you," Toltiir blushed, difficult
when you're covered in black fur, "one can but try..."

Ryouga let fly the suction cup on the koi
rod, praying that Akane would forgive him.
The line went taut briefly, then Akane
walked around the corner, following the line that
led from Ryouga's fishing rod to the suction cup
attached to her chest.
"Ryouga," she said with a puzzled tone.
She pulled off the suction cup and made a face at
the stinging sensation. "You ought to be more
careful with toys like that."
Ryouga noticed Ranma and Kuno
looking at the rod and at him. Damn, it hadn't
worked...he should have known it was another
failure in a long string of failures, the universe
laughing at Ryouga Hibiki.
"Uhm, I brought you some gifts,"
Ryouga managed, smiling shyly at Akane.

Nabiki nudged Ranma. "Ok,
Saotome. What did you do to Akane?"
"I didn't do nothin', Nabiki,
she's been acting weird since we got
home."
Akane continued to feed
Ryouga, who looked like he was in
heaven.
"Oh my," Kasumi said as
she watched the two. "You two act
like...oh my."
Soun coughed. "Akane,
don't you think that Ranma would
be better for..."
"Who?" Akane turned
a blank look at her father briefly
before turning her attentions back
to Ryouga. "Oh you poor dear,
have I been...too forward?"
Ryouga laughed a
little, embarrassed. "N-no,
Akane, I'm fine, really!"
Ranma stared for
a moment, then turned away.
"Akane? I..."
"Oh, Ryouga, you
big silly...you've got a little rice
on your face."
"Oh. Heh heh. Here?"
"No...here." Akane
drew closer to Ryouga her
tongue darting out and lightly
touching Ryouga's cheek.
Ranma was abruptly
away from the table and out in
the yard, unable to take this any
longer. She was just trying to
make him jealous, yeah, that was
it. Well, it wouldn't work.
"Oh. Ranma left food
on his plate. He must not be
feeling well."
Genma grabbed Ranma's
food and casually added it to his
own plate.
Nabiki continued to
watch, her eyes narrowing. This
was just too bizarre.

where to go from here?
Nabiki finds out about the rod
and sells the information, to just
about everyone.
Unfortunately, Ryouga, feeling
guilty about turning Akane into
a love-slave, runs off. Akane, of
course, follows. Kuno tries to get
the pig-tailed girl, and snags...
Azusa Shiratori? Mousse tries
to snag Shampoo and discovers
a fundamental Law of the Takahashi
universe. Love potions/devices
NEVER turn out the way you want
them to.

Ryouga snags Akane & the two
are thought to have eloped
Tatewaki snags Azusa Shiratori
Mousse snags Kodachi Kuno
Shampoo snags Dr Tofu (who defeats her)
Ranma (grabbing the rod away from Shampoo)
snags Kasumi Tendo by accident
then pulling the suction cup off Kasumi finds
Ukyou trying to grab it. During that aftermath
Kasumi accidently tags Ranma with it.
Happosai tries to snag Shampoo but
manages to hit himself and turns into a
total narcissist.
Ukyou tries to snag Ranma and hits Nabiki
(who is attempting to hide)
During a general scramble for the rod, it is
broken into tiny little pieces.
may have to write this, but as i have never
been personally in a romantic situation, i
may have trouble writing the scenes. i have,
however, been in chaos, and so those scenes
come naturally.
