[Ranma][SongFic] All About Soul

After reading a few of the "songfics" out there I thought:
why not make one of your own?
As I listened to this song, Ryoga came to mind as the logical singer for
it. As I listened more, many Ryogas from many universes and stories
came to mind.
I used some of Mark's Ryogas after I reread his "Crossover" stories,
Richard Lawson's "Thy Inward Love" series, as well as Kun-Chan's "Too
Much Wedded Bliss?" and "Moments" stories...using them to frame a
"songfic of sorts" story for a Billy Joel song, "All About Soul."
In this songfics, the Ryogas are about the same age as Kun-Chan's:
about 25.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed writing it.

(Ryoga 1 (R1): the one with Akari *Takahashi's*. Open to see Ryoga 1
singing to a porch)
R1: She waits for at night, she waits for me in silence, (as Ryoga
sings, Akari comes on to the porch, into the light with Ryouga)
R1: she gives me all her tenderness and takes away my pain, (Akari
embraces Ryoga, head on his shoulder)
R1: And so far she hasn't run, though I swear she's had her moments,
(Ryoga puts one hand on hers)
R1: she still believes in miracles while others cry in vain..(returns
the embrace)
(cut to Ryoga #5 (R5): one who has a bionic arm, black clothes, and
Kodachi's heart *one of Mark's*)
R5:It's all about soul, it's all about faith and a deeper devotion,
(Kodachi is close to Ryoga as she can, one hand on his)
R5: it's all about soul, 'cause under her love is a stronger emotion,
(Kodachi embraces him)
R5: she's got to be strong, 'cause so many getting out of control,
(Kodachi puts her head on his shoulder)
R5: should drive her away, so why does she stay? (Ryoga shrugs, then
hugs Kodachi, his arms going around her, too) It's all about soul...
(cut to Ryoga 1/2 aka Ryoga #2(R 1/2): curse of Nyannichuan and heart of
Nabiki, another Ryoga of Mark's)
R 1/2: She turns to me sometimes, and she asks me what I'm dreaming
(Nabiki touches Ryoga's shoulder as he sings, then looks at his face)
R 1/2: and I realize I must have gone a million miles away (Ryoga slaps
his forehead)
R 1/2: and I ask her how she knew to reach out for me at that moment
(Ryoga puts his arm onto Nabiki's shoulder)
R 1/2: and she smiles because it's understood there are no words to
say..(both look into each other's eyes as she smiles, then they embrace)
(cut to Caroline's Nibbunoichi Ryoga (RNin) with Ukyou and Saeko-chan)
RNin: It's all about soul, it's all about knowing what somebody's
feeling, (Ryoga has Saeko-chan in his arms as Ukyou comes behind him)
RNin: the woman's got soul, the power of love and the power of feeling
(Ukyou embraces him)
RNin: this life isn't fair, it's gonna get dark, it's gonna get cold
(Ryoga sings, the angst there once resurfacing briefly as he sings)
RNin: you've got to get tough (Ryoga making fist), but that ain't enough
(Ryoga wagging his finger), it's all about soul..
(all people there, swaying and moving in time)
na na, na na, na na na na, woe-oh (Ryogas only) it's all about soul..

(cut to GuyverRyouga (GR), who has just taken off his armor..this is
another of Mark's Ryogas.)
GR: There are people who have lost every trace of human kindness, (is in
front of Zoanoid statues)
GR: there are many who have fallen, (is in front of graveyard)
GR: there are some who still survive, (in front of Nabiki, with eye
patch, Akane, Ranma and Soun)
GR: (Nabiki goes to him as he sings the lyrics.) and she comes to me at
night, and she tells me her desires,
GR: (Nabiki hugs him, he then embraces Nabiki as he sings) and she gives
me all the love I need to keep my faith alive..(they kiss)
R 1/2: It's all about soul, (puts rock out onto a table)
R5: It's all about joy that comes out of sorrow, (puts rock by first
rock)
RNin: It's all about soul, (puts rock by pair of rocks)
GR: Who's standing now, and who's standing tommorrow, (adds his rock)
R1: You've got to be hard, (adds his rock)
All Ryogas: (unison) As hard as that rock in that old rock'n'roll, (they
cover the rockpile with a cloth)
(pan as they sing this line) but that's only part, you know in your heart
(yanks off cover to show the five rocks became five doves, flying away
as line is sung) ..it's all about soul.. (shot on doves then back to
Ryougas as music fades)
ai-e-ai-e-a...
(All people there)
