     I didn't know until just recently, but it turned out that this
year in U.S. animation releases started just like last year, with a
nominal release of an anime by Funimation.  Funimation put "Fullmetal
Alchemist: the Sacred Star of Milos" in 42 theaters this week.  Enough
theaters for the movie to break the $100,000 mark.  The movie even got
enough reviews to score a tomatometer ranking.

blurb mention in a local rag (Washington Examiner), but no official
advertising.  No theater listings, either.  You had to Google the film
just to see where it was playing.  A total botch by Funimation :-(

Terrence Briggs, who wasn't wild about the last FMA film that was
released, but that's not the point.
