Doogie Howser Joins The Smurfs

Neil Patrick Harris (idolised in the early nineties for his
role as 'Doogie Howser, M.D.') is the on-the-rise-again star
thanks to the success of TV's How I Met Your Mother and his
cameos (as himself) in the Harold & Kumar movies.</p>
According to Deadline Hollywood, he's just signed on to play
the lead human character in the live action / CGI adaptation
of the Smurfs cartoon.
The Smurfs movie is being directed by Raja Gosnell (Scooby
Doo, Beverly Hills Chihuahua) and starts shooting in April.
