When it aired on ABC a few nights ago, they apparently aired a re-cut
of the same special with new scenes of a new host. I purchased the
50th Anniversary DVD, but didn't open it, on the chance that the
documentary appears on Classic Christmas favorites. If it does, I
intend to return my Grinch DVD and get Classic Christmas Favorites,
because it definitely has other things I want.

Pretty sure the bulk version *doesn't* have it, while the singles do.
(Not sure if the singles are still out there, though.)
And yes, the ABC version was pretty much a transcript recut/insertion of
Tom Bergeron for Phil Hartman, seeing as ABC didn't want doc featurettes
narrated by dead people.
