anyone here gone to "Academy of Art College"

I Know, I know I hate posts like this too
CalArts just sent me the "Not on your life" letter of rejection and I was
looking into this place as a secand choice. But I was wondering if anyone who
actually went to the school has anything posative or negative to say about it.
Is the animation program good? How is job placement after graduation?

I spoke at it once at a "Disney Day." It's one of the 16 schools in the
United States and Canada that Disney Features has a special relationship
with, sending artists to speak or teach and taking teacher recommendations
on portfolios. I figure they think it's pretty good.

Speaking of the CalArts rejection..I got one last yearand ended up here at
Ringling School of Art in Florida...along with some other CalArts
rejectees...now I knew some people who did reapply this year and once again
were rejected...so what I am trying to get at is...does anybody know where on
the net we can see some work from current CalArts students...just wondering
what exactly it takes...

go to this site...the webmaster's name is Aimee, and she does some wonderful
fantasy stuff, like gargoyles and dragons. She's in her second year at
CalArts, i think.
