Keep in mind that the original poster was talking about fish and
algae; only a reef owner needs the 6-bulb lighting equivalent. I just
wanted to keep the discussion in perspective. A single cool-white and
a hardware-store grow light in a $10 fixture will in fact be a significant
improvement over the $70 Perfecto light one finds at aquarium stores.
