I hope this gets into list.

I received today announcement of the 1997 3rd Annual International Marine
Seminar.

I thought this may be of interest to the group especially us lonely brits
and Europeans. I attended the event last year. Where the speakers were J
Sprung, Peter Wilkens and Jean Eckhart. It was pretty good, we are short
of marine events in the UK and full credit should be given to Underworld
Products Aquarium Systems and the Yorkshire Marine Aqaurists for their
contribution in raising the profile of the hobby in the UK.

This years speakers are

Martin Moe Jnr.
author of The Marine Aquarium Reference Systems and Invertebrates and the
renowned Marine Aquarium Handbook beginner to breeder. He is scientist and
has had many successes in breeding clown fish and Atlantic Angels.

Peter Gilles
Assistant Curator for the Mus'ee OCeanographique of Monaco. The Monaco
Aquarium hosts over one million visitors annually, houses over 90
aquariums. Many of the reef mesocosms are created with DR Jean Jaubert of
the University of Nice. Over 70 species of hard corals plus numerous soft
corals have been cultivated here using pioneering techniques.

DR Dieter Brockmann
Has over 30 years experience in the hobby. He specialises in the care of
stony corals and the biology and chemistry of aquarium systems. He is the
science editor for the leading German Magazine "das aquarium" as well as
for the Modern Reef Aquarium series by Fossa & Nilsen. He dives regularly
in the coral seas to study reef inhabitants and is a member of the
international society for Reef Studies.

As you can see these guys should provoke a good few questions and I shall
enjoy a good debate I am sure in the bar over Plenums and Jaubert
methodology.

Look forward to seeing the few UK Members.
