Will these 2 get along with each other and in a tank with a blue
damsel and 2 ocellaris? Only the female clown is aggressive- she
always tries to bite the hand that feeds her. Gonna name her after my
ex. <g> Also will the gramma or orchid bother any spaghettie worms,
tiny dusters, etc? I have plenty of rockwork so I'm not worried about
losing a few bristleworms.
Thanks for your opinions

Ernie

PS Thank you to Trish for her generosity with her corals. Much
appreciated.

Dottybacks are known for their pugnaciousness, territorialiness and
aggressiveness, unlike any other fish for its size! (I had a bicolor
that held at bay an entire 1/2 of a 110 gal tank of fish including a
large trigger, several large tangs and angelfish!). In a small tank
(<200 gals) the dottyback will most likely kill all the other small
fish! Damsels also have a instinctive dislike for Royal Grammas, so,
depending on the size of your tank, expect some problems between your
Blue and a Royal Gramma. If you must, try the Royal Gramma. Diet wise,
they both feed on small crustaceans in the water column, but might go
after some worms. HTH

A tank raised orchid dotty back can be one of the calmer of dottybacks but
the gramma and the dottyback have similar habits, similar color and similar
size. Given the dottyback genus' deserved reputation for nastiness, this
isn't a good idea unless the tank is very large. It is possible to get away
with it though if you really want to try but you may need to remove a fish
and they are hard to remove in LR. I'd consider something else.

The dottybacks will graze 'bugs' but shouldn't bother spaghetti worms or
feather dusters. Some my eat small bristle worms.
