Warning, if you live in massachusetts or surrounding areas, stay away
from a place in everet mass called Exotic Marine Fish Wholesalers.
Theese people have got to be the most un knowledgable people selling
marine life I have ever witnessed. There Motto is "get it in, get it
out" With little knowledge of how to keep a species or the dangers of
keeping what they sell. Theese people sell things like exotic
nudibranches from fiji and bali, wich we know are almost impossible to
keep due to their highly specific diet, and try and tell you their just
sea slugs and eat scum off the glass!!! They will also tell you you can
keep a anemone under 80 watts of fl lighting.Another place thats just
there to make a buck. I do not considder myself a authority on any
marine life except cephalopods. After quizing theese guys on octos that
they sold it was more than clear, they are clueless about what they
sell. BEWARE!!!!!!!

I could not agree more with you......very well said.

This place is a dump, and a total rip off. It is hard to believe that they
can stay in business looking the way they do and selling stuff the way they
do.

Definitely a place to avoid!

I know it, theese guys are in the dark ages af far as lights and filter
set up go. Their tanks look like wicked crap all dirty and grundgey and
their knowledge is horrible on the subject. They say they have been
keeping fish for 20to30 years. If they have they shouldn't bost about it
because they really suck then!!!!!! I also saw a lot of dead stuff just
floating in their tanks. It was just a horrible horrible place.

Little Shop of Pets in Portsmouth, NH is my regular LFS. That is a 45 minute
drive for me, but it is the best in the area for me.

My store of choice is sea world pet center in salem ,nh. The head of
the marine fish there is one of the best I have ever met. His name is
chris. They have awesome looking tanks and great livestock. Chris is
extremely knowledgeable, and will give you a very honest opinion. Will
not sell you stuff bad for your tank or stuff you don't need. Well worth
the drive to meet this guy. If you stop in tell him the cephalopod dude
sent you.

Another good place is inland reef aquaria in nashua. pricecy, but
everything is tank raised. Nice looking tanks as well. Sea world is #1
though.

I've been to Sea World and I have found them way overpriced compared to
LSOP. I have to agree that Chris is very knowledgeable and that thier
livestock is very good and a great selection. But when they are asking $250
for a Aust. Harlequin Tusk and I can get the same thing from LSOP ( same
distributors) for $70, I will stick with LSOP. But I do like going to Sea
World just to see the fish and dry goods, a great selection of both and it
is only about an hour and 15 minutes for me to get there.

Inland Reef didn't impress me at all. For me it is too far to drive, and the
selection wasn't worth the trip.

I have been to the Nashua store, and you're right it is great looking.
I chatted with the owner - nice guy; no pressure to buy. If I want to
pick up some coral I'll go see him, I guess.
Anyone know if he'll buy (or give credit) for some mushrooms?

I asked last time I was there and I was told they buy fish back, not sure
about the mushrooms.
