Absolutely excellent and a lot less expensive than many other books out
there since it is now available in paperback. I think I got it on sale for
$17 or $18. I set up my tank based on the author's instructions in this
book. I have only had my tank going for 6 weeks but so far, so good! I have
not had any major problems and everything I have put in the tank is still
living. :-) BTW, I have an oscellaris clown, a longspine urchin, and some
Nassarius snails so far.

Later you should get the Conscientious Aquarist by Bob Fenner.
Also I like the visual nature of Palleta's book, the drawings are
really excellent.

Just got this book myself (I'm a newbie too!). I've read reams of info over
the last few months, as well as these great newsgroups in preparation for
my first SW tank (10 gal microreef, LR, clown, anenome, cleaners, and a
few corals)

Great illustrations and clear concise descriptions. Doesnt go into a huge
amount of detail on keeping corals, but should set you down the right path
in getting a tank set up that will be suitable once experience is has grown.

Great value. You wont be disappointed.
