Last rites declaration of Ioannes Paulus PP. II (Karol Wojtyla)
"The unforgiveable sins this earth must confront and overcome are Nationalism, capitalism, and hoarding. The idea of every nation should be forgot, price should be struck from the commons, and princes should be seen for the devils they are. The sins include our church, secret societies, and other religions which make of... more »

Red Algae problem
Hi, I have had a freshwater 10G tank for about a year now. A month or two after I got the tank red algae (I assume that's what it is) appeared on the sides of the tank and on the plastic plants (there are no real plants). I use a toothbrush to scrap it off the sides of the tank - it comes off quite easily. Occassionally I'll take out the plastic plants and wash... more »

I have looked..... lots. I have yet to find anything other than an opinion on this topic. I bought a bottle of Stress Coat for my 55g w/ tropicals for no other reason than Petsmart recommended it. (when I shopped there) I used it for a while but not in the last 8 months. Chlorine is not a problem as... more »

Help saving a couple of Angel fish ...
Hi All: I may be inheriting two rather large Angel fish. They are not doing very well. It looks to me as though they have some sort of fungus on the mouth. Kind of looks like cotton puffs. So I may need to quickly get a 10 gallon hospital tank up and running. What is the best way to go about setting the quarantine tank up and getting it cycled as quickly as humanly possible? Time is of the essence. Also any recommendations on which medicine is the best for fungus type issues.... more »

Alas one of my Algae Eaters died today.
Lost one of my Algea Eaters today. The tank is about 5 weeks along and everyone else is doing fine. Showing no signs of stress. Ammonia levels seem a bit high, between 0.25 and 1.0 mg/l. Nitrates and Nitrites are very low. Water changes about 30-40% every other day. Any thoughts? Maybe he was sick upon bringing him home? Two other Algae Eaters doing great (so far).... more »
