Hi everyone!
While I'm testing the waters here, I thought I'd post this as well, because
I would love to learn as much as I can. I have a painting in my dining room
that hangs 27 1/2W inches by 39 3/4H. It is signed at the bottom which
looks to be R. Colao. The painting is of a golden pot with big flowers.

There is another oil painting I have that is signed what looks to be: L
Brkestreri (very hard to make out, it's signed so I must be mistaken with a
letter or two) It looks to be a painting of an Irish Wake, with a man
playing the fiddle to the right, and a man and a woman on a couch, on the
left, with a man in back with his head in his hands crying.

Also, there is a painting of a man returning/going to war with his wife in
his arms. On the lower left hand corner there is inscriped "Cambell Art Co.
Elizabeth, NJ"

I'll be borrowing a friend's digital camera this week, but if any of this
rings a bell please let me know!! thanks :)

I guess the first question is:

Are these paintings or prints? (I've never heard of an
original painting with the name of an "art company"
printed on the front!)

yes, 1 is an original, the irish wake, however, i do beleive the colao is a
print on a second look, I just wanted to know if there is any history behind
the art company, and who may have painted the original. thanks :)
