I recently purchased this absolutely beautiful Folk/Tramp Art Frame
from an auction. It was originally purchased at another auction back
in the 1950s by the father of the woman selling it. Other than that I
have no further info on the age (I'd geuss that it was made sometime
in the 1930s or 1940s). I think that it was likely made in prison. The
painting, of Christ, was done on a piece of cardboard (the painting is
extremely nice also); and the piece of plastice used to cover the
painting was from an old report cover (when you remove it, you can see
the edge of the 3 notebook holes).
It's an outstanding example of craftmanship; and it's in PERFECT
condition!! It goes off tonight. The reserve was just reached last
night. It will make an excellent Christmas gift. Or just keep it for
yourself!!
Thanks!!
