A university art department, or an art museum, has large
biographical dictionaries of all kinds of artists ... that's the
first place I'd look - women artists, waterv=colorists, or
British artists. Six Guineas in 1910 is an expensive piece (or a
flashy framing job).

You didn't mention the subject of the painting. If it is a riverboat,
"Fanny Ogden" may be the name of the boat and not the artist.

I was at a an art museum, researching something else ... I
found a few Ogdens, but none named Fanny. Of course, this being
an american museum, it was a bit short on the English references.
You should have better luck with a local musaum.
