At a local consignment shop I bought a oil painting (appx 7 7/8" x 9 3/4")
of Asian polo players done in oil.
It's professionally framed. On the back of the frame is a notation -
Vaziri - Persian oil signed :"polo players" Med.
purchased at BHCA Arts Council auction from Art Guild Galleries, Sept 1976.
It;s very high quality work.
The women at the shop told me one of her regular customers told her it was
painted on a thin piece of camel bone.
I'd like to know more about the painting technique and the artisit "Vaziri"

Is there another news group I should post this message to?

Thanks,

Mike

I suspect that's him. I don't know how I missed that when I googled vaziri.
The frame/matting alone are worth >$100.00.

I don't know, either. All I did was Google.
