TRANSFORMER QUESTION 
  Hi all, How warm should a transformer in a 40's console radio get after the radio is on for a half hour? Its next to a big power (5Y3) tube, that's rather hot. I can place my hand over the transformer, it feels very warm. Its not making any burning smells,hisses etc. Will it burst into flames? Whats the method for testing a transformer with Volt-Ohm meter? PILOT LIGHT RCA-29K PROBLEM-ADVICE REQUESTED 
  Hi All, I've been restoring a 1941 RCA 29K console. Its been rewired, recapped etc, and is up and running. fixing old speakers - worthwhile? 
  Hi all, was over at Goodwill today in an effort to avoid having to buy a new set of flatware for Thanksgiving (don't have enough place settings, and didn't realize it until I thought about it yesterday) ANYWAY... there was a pair of Advent speakers there for $15. More craigslist radio insanity 
  This guy had an ad in the Denver Post about a month ago. That didn't work so now he's trying craigslist. The paper ad had no prices listed so I called. I'm sure he said $200 for the Knight and I didn't ask about the Philco. Now he wants $800 for a tabletop breadbox shaped 3 band Knight and $400 for a common Philco 40-150.
