Still looking for Hickok 121 Cardmatic cal card
|
| |
Even Alan Douglas has no idea where I can get a calibration card scan for a Hickok 121 Cardmatic. He says that the 121 was not a common model. I'd like to get a scan of the cal card so I can make a card and calibrate the tester. I have the instructions; just need to know what the card looks like. Any help is appreciated. Again, I don't... more »

First Portable Radio
|
| |
Does anyone know who made the first portable radio. I don't mean simply a radio which worked on batteries because many of the earliest ones did that. I mean a radio which was specifically designed as a carry around.

Grundig 5089 TB
|
| |
A few months ago, I posted a request for documentation on a Grunding 5089 TB. I'd like to thank the members of this group who assisted in coming up with a lot of information on this toy. The radio has been brought back to life, and has the sweetest, mellow sound. :::chills::: Haven't gotten the tape deck to turn on, yet, and I'm going to... more »

The 6L6 socket spacing on the Stromberg-Carlson 145L
|
| |
The sockets are too closely spaced to use 6L6G or 6L6GA. 6L6GB and GC will fit. I wonder if they anticipated 6L6G and decided they wouldn't accommodate them or just didn't know 6L6G was on the way? Of course, one of the 6L6 metals I have is noisy. I'll have to dig and see if there's another out in the tube shed.... more »

I wonder if one can check the gear out ..... ;-) "During the last two decades, the number of non audiophiles that became audiophiles is huge in China. There are different reasons of the efforts from different parties. One reason is that McIntosh's China distributor gives out free McIntosh to public libraries. It gives the general public the... more »
