Hello.
I have some National type B velvet vernier dial drives that I would like
to refurbish and use on a homebuilt regen project. They look to be rather
straightforward to disassemble. Are there any potential issues I need to
look out for when reworking these and getting them ready to use? Did
these originally have a celluloid lens in the little drive window?
Thanks,
Scott.

They're fairly straightforward. The design varied somewhat with time.
Some had full celluloid windows, with a vertical line at the center;
others had celluloid only over the numbers, with the slot open so you
could add your own markings.

Thanks Alan,
I gave one a good looking over last night and I don't see any real show-
stoppers, but it never hurts to ask the experience of others. I hate
discovering those hidden pitfalls after it is too late.
