I just finished viewing a music video of Elvis Costello that dates
from 1978 or so. He's performing "Radio, Radio," and through the magic
of trick photography (which, I am sure you recall, was something that
existed in the days before CGI) he seems to perform in front of a huge
old radio. A rear view of the radio is seen as well.
What is the radio?
Best wishes.
Elvis is from the UK, English radio perhaps? Pretty sure not US.
Merry Christmas to all,
....Tom
I don't know his complete history, but since he is from the UK, and he
certainly seemed to live there during his early career, the video may
reflect UK radios.

That is a Philco 444 "Peoples Set" from the UK. You can see mine at:

They squished the radio vertically for the video. It's cool that they showed
it from the back. That's the correct chassis.
Happy holidays,

Ahhh sorry, Philco, not Ekco.
I liked the bit where he appears to be dancing on the chassis!
BTW, did you notice that it warmed up instantly but when the hand
turned it off at the end it kept on playing!
Cheers,
Roger
