I am always buying interesting pieces for my collection, have several things I
am looking to sell, and items I would trade.
Items for sale or trade include:
--A very cool 12"x19" solid bronze Nouveal plaque of a semi-nude, kneeling
fairy with a wire soldered onto the back to make a wall hanging
--Nouveau two headed candlestick with a sweeping design (plate is worn but it's
still great)
--Deco lamp c.1930 w/two dancing female figures (clothed) around a colored
glass
--Similar mfg. lamp with a cock and hen
--Three piece French deco marble clock set surmounted by a seated pot metal
cast girl holding a dove
--Nu Art gold painted seated nude with glass dish (ashtray?) at her feet
--(2) plates from Louis Icart "La Vie des Seins" of nudes, one of which is
illustrated in the Icart book
--A large framed WWI French lithgraph poster of a Nurse dropping an aspirin
into a glass of water
--assorted sheet music 1910-1940 with framable covers, including movie stars
--1926 Folies Bergere program w/color cover photo of Josephine Baker nude
--1928 hanging fixture Handel style (may be insigned Handel): Yellow
irridescent globe decorated with six reverse painted panels of (alternately)
stylized foliage and birds of pardise, hanging from a brass chain with a
polychromed brass bird in the center, gold bell, all original parts, assembled
by Lightolier
-- Awesome chandelier in heavy polychromed brass with copper accents and
celluloid catalin bakelite pillars in the 1920's deco Isnik islamic style.
The kinds of items I buy (or trade for) include the above, plus: Frankart
lamps and figures, bronze/ivory & spelter/ivorine figures, reverse painted and
etched deco picture frames, old movie stars photos, movie posters and
memorabilia, art glass and leaded glass lamps, colored mirror (peach, cobalt,
green -- including ones needing resilvering if glass is okay), "girlie"
calendar art (especially Vargas, Moran, Moezert), good Nouveau or Deco
furniture, makeup or dressing table items with women on them, etc.
I also will buy broken figural pieces and missing pieces.
I spend a lot of time at auctions, and will "spot" for collectors. E-mail me
your general interests and budget. If I see anything that looks appropriate,
I'll let you know.
Thanks!
