THREE HAND PAINTED AND SIGNED "E. MILER" LIMOGES PLATES

They are 9 1/4" with a gold edge. Each plate's background is several
shades of pastel and
depicts either snapdragons, peonies, or daisies. The artist E. Miler
painted and signed
these plates .
The Flowers:(1)- Snapdragons in light shades of purple, pink, and white
look more like a
watercolor painting than a plates. The flowers flow from the top of the
plate down and
around. (2)- The Peonies are in white, pale yellow, red, and pink. They
are also shown as
bud, half opened, seen from the bottom and viewed from the top. (3)- The
Daisies are in
pink and white with a yellow center. It seems like they are in the tall
grass.
The plates are marked in GREEN initials with "LIMOGES, France". They have
Tressemann & Vogt Mark,7 (see Gaston's :The Collectors Encyclopedia of
Limoge, PP
197 ). CA 1892-1907(probably closer to 1900). Looking in the Limoges
book you will
not find any more beautiful than these.
Offered at a price of $150 each. Serious offers taken into
consideration. Scans are
available available upon request to help the buyer.
