Hi All,

I received an invitiation to join so i thought I'd pop in. I'm based
in Sydney and run a forensic technology practice where we analyse
electronic data (computer, enterprise networks, email systems,
databases etc.) to either find out what somebody has done, such as
theft of electronic IP, or to find information supporting litigation
so that it can be produced in court.

RealStudio is one of the tools we use to develop applications to help
us do this. For example, we may need to search a fileserver for every
Word and Excel document and extract the metadata from the documents
into a CSV for later analysis. Or we may need to develop an
application to analyse unstructured binary data on a hard disk drive
looking for deleted HTML web pages. It's a real advantage being able
to put together a GUI and semi-working application fast.

We also use other languages such as Delphi, C++ and C# as well as some
database specific languages such as SQL. I also study Astronomy in my
spare time and I intend to use RealStudio to develop a graphical model
of the solar system (I can't wait to start this!).

Cheers
