How about £2 per visit + materials/wear-tear/equipment donations to
cover anything specific?  e.g. 1cm of solder is nothing, but 100 people
using 1cm is significant.  Similarly things like the laser cutter and
CNC mill should imply a larger donation due to the large operational costs.

Like many on this list I don't come very often at all but I'm happy to
contribute for my attendance when I do make it.  A couple of quid seems
a perfect number to me if I'm not using any specific tools.

Thoughts?
