20 quid 'laptop' that runs linux, has ethernet, wifi and BT... crummy
processor too but at that price...
It's cheaper than all the spare bits you can salvage of a broken one,
just the TFT alone...

That is actually cheaper than most photo frames of that size.
A bargain indeed!

Thanks for the heads-up. Mine came next-day, seems to be in 100%
perfect condition, albeit in a very tatty box. Did some worrying screen
flickering on first boot, presumably just finishing the install. Once
running the screen is bright and clear and for a rubber keyboard and
nipple mouse 'emulator' they are fully usable. So far the only gotcha is
that it is WEP only (no WPA).

The stock Linux spin is a bit funky (all running as root). Top-tip: to
get a shell, alt-tab to xvkbd, click and hold the 'xvkbd' button and
select 'Manual' from the menu. The update servers also seem to have gone
away, leaving you stuck around 2008. Anyone done the legwork getting a
standard distro onto one of these?

I ordered two, one to break, one to make; "Daniel" my dedicated driver
is supposed to deliver them just about any time now :-)
The kernel source is available, and I'm pretty sure we can slap
together a debian over it in little time...
I few of my hacker friends also ordered a few each, so expect things to move :-)

Do you know what bootloader they used yet ? u-boot?

Received my units. Same comments as Barnaby; bit dusty but otherwise new

Pretty nice goody bag for the 20 quid. The screen is in fact the
laptop itself, the keyboard detaches, and there are controls at the
back too to move the mouse/click. I can easily see that as a wall
controller.

Here's a pic
