I actually tried to use my RCI points towards airfare when we first
had our RCI membership and they told me there is a maximum amount of
points you can apply towards airfare so it wouldn't have done us any
good to use banked points or borrow from the next year. Maybe they
have changed it since though. You should call them to see what your
options are. I found that I could definitely get cheaper airfare
without going through RCI and using my points.
