i think someone else posted something similar but only it used them plastic shopping bags (or was that chopped up soda bottles)

It is called Polymorph as a brand. I don't know what the actual material is. You boil it hot water and it becomes pliable until it cools.

I've heard of a product called ShapeLock that works like that.

Shapelock is another name. I think the stuff I have is actually Shapelock.

I've been using paper mache recently. Cheap, light, easy to work with
and sticks well to wood. Tests suggest it will stand up to paintballs
but ask me aafter the next battle!
