One piece of advice from you people:
How do friction driven hinge tracks perform on your Locust?
Do suspensions and wheels swing and travel as much after you tension teh tracks for maximum friction?
Do they go like that:
Does the drive wheel involve a rubber band on its rim for more friction?

Kindly let me know,
Chrys

Hello Chrys , when I sold To55 to Phil the drive was changed from friction to
mechanical in the form of two pins through the drive wheel close to the edge. I don’t have any fotos and I don’t know if the rubber is still in place .

Chrys,
As set up now the drive wheels have both the rubber covering you can
see in the photo plus the 2 pins Neil mentions.

As it happened the rubber fell off one drive sprocket after the last
battle. I glued it back again. Short story.

The 2 pins and rubber seem to work perfectly satisfactorily- there is
probably just about as much movement as in that photo (it's raining
outside and I can't be bothered to go to the shed to check) and it
seems pretty successful.

Are you having problems?

Phil
