That Semovente is awsome. The tracks and upper hull look like market
available stuff. I hoipe you'll tell us more about them. Great solution for
the suspensions.

Looks like it went well. Pity the weather probably won't be like that
for our upcoming battle on the 19th.
Can't wait for Tyng's turret cam footage.
All I can say is: I sure wish I was over in the US at times. You guys
manage so many battles, and we manage 1 (maybe 2) a year.

On Saturday we held our fall battle courtesy of Joe's family friends in Gettysburg. It was a glorious fall day,cloudy with chance of rain with occasional sun, perfect tank weather. Here are a few pics of the group and Joe's new vehicle, the X2.
I would post some video but for some reason I only have sound with a dark screen when I download it to my computer. Very bizarre. So I guess we'll have to rely on Steve Tyng's footage aboard the Cromwell.

Indeed. At least it shows folks are thinking about doing interesting
things as opposed to being passive media consumers. It's a start...

I've contemplated doing something very similar, using packet-radio
TNCs (which typically achieve 1200 to 9600 bits/sec transfer rates) to
chirp commands and status data back and forth. Not fast enough for

and has taken me 5 years to come up with anything reliable. I'm
working on casting the parts as we speak, just need to make the 4 part

Steve, I blame that school of thought on sci fi and 'sciency' shows
oversimplifying the technical nature of most complex subjects. :)
I had contemplated using one of those lil Alinco 340mW 2m HTs with a
larger 5W HT as a ham-band RC system, just to do it for a challenge.
But no fun like that until I actually get my tank running on a regular
