112" electric tow plane built by Warren Bolander of Lexington Ky
around 1991 from a plan and a block of balsa (scale version of the
jome built) flew today ... And really well too!
Could make a nice tow plane for 4m gliders with the power plant/system
I borrowed (waiting on my friend Lee to send the right system for
towing).
But after hauling it to the field, assembly/disasembly I think the
best thing to do with big tow plane is to toe them to the local power
club marked "For Sale!"
Club photog Tony Utley got some great pics and Vid (I'll let you know
when I get the vid on YouTube).
