TODAY IS DAY 4

FRIENDS OF RACHEL: Are you ready? The Rachel’s Legacy assembly will
be here today for grades 9-11 and tonight at 7pm for 12th graders and
parents. The students signed up for the Leadership Training will be
called down to the LGI room at 11am.

Our Rachel’s Legacy banner will be available for all students to sign
Wednesday and Thursday during all lunches. Rachel’s Challenge
merchandise will also be for sale during all lunches Wednesday and
Thursday. Please come and support RCK’s chain reaction of kindness
and compassion.

AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL: Come to the Amnesty International Meeting
tomorrow, Wednesday November 17th in room 137. We will be working on
our December Project. All new members are welcome.

MASQUE AND MIME: Lighting will meet today from 2 – 3:30pm. Bring
your calendar.

All those going on the field Trip to NYC on Wednesday, please see Mrs.
Gleichenhaus today – to see who is driving you to the train station.
Meet in the lobby at 10am Wednesday morning. Read your e-mail

RESCUE: Hey, did you meet the whosoevers? Did you think they had a
good challenge for you? Come to Rescue today after school in room 308
if you are interested …bring your friends!

DECA: There will be a DECA meeting tomorrow after school.

GUIDANCE: Attention Seniors: there will be representatives from the
following colleges visiting in the guidance office on these dates and
times:
Today
University of New Haven at 10:45am

HEALTH OFFICE: If you are scheduled for a physical on Wednesday,
November 18th and have not been screened, please come down today to do
so.

MSG VARSITY/MR WOOD: Are you interested in becoming involved with
sports television? MSG Varsity is a new channel & website devoted to
high school sports.
RCK is looking for students to film home sporting events. Equipment
will be provided; our first meeting is today in room 233, see Mr. Wood
for details.

YEARBOOK: Attention Seniors this is the last week to have your senior
portrait taken for yearbook. No other photo will be accepted. Got
questions – see Mrs. Fletcher or Mrs. Shand room 264.

Student id cards are here! Sophomore, Juniors, Seniors please see
Mrs. Shand room 264 to get yours.


NHS: Attention students and staff members of RCK. Since Thanksgiving
is next week, NHS will be collecting non-perishable/canned goods for
the rest of the week to donate to Stuff the Bus. Please leave
donations in the red bucket in the front of the main office area or
with your homeroom teachers.

Did you know that 1.5 million blood cells are produced and destroyed
in the human body every second?

Or how about that there are 60,000 miles or blood vessels in your
body?

How about this fact:
The World Health Organization estimates, every year 100,000,000 blood
bags are needed fro transfusions across the world.

All day Tuesday, November 24th – RCK will be holding a blood drive in
the gym.

Come to the table outside of guidance today, tomorrow, and Friday
during lunch periods to sign up to donate blood and save a life.

JUNIOR CLASS: There is a New York City trip planned for December
18th. Tickets are $35.00 per person and are on sale in the cafeteria
periods 1, 2, 5 & 6 from November 9th – 20th. You sign up with your
group. All groups are chaperoned. We leave RCK by charter bus at
2:30pm and arrive back at 12:00am. You must hand in a permission slip
when you sign up. See Mrs. Cephas in room 221 with any questions.

WAPPINGERS CREW CLUB: First parent meeting for the new spring season
will be at John Jay on Wednesday, November 18th at 6:30pm in room 128,
the large group instruction room.
