TODAY IS DAY 5

MR LAWRENCE’S OFFICE: Please be advised that on Monday, November 23,
2009, RCK will be having their rescheduled second bus drill for the
school year.
Classes will be dismissed at 1:40pm.
All students who ride the bus must participate.

DIVERSIFIED CO-OP: Reminder! Diversified co-op meets today
November 18, period 5, day 5.

FRIENDS OF RACHEL:
Our Rachel’s Legacy banner will be available for all students to sign
today and Thursday during all lunches. Rachel’s Challenge merchandise
will also be for sale during all lunches Wednesday and Thursday.
Please come and support RCK’s chain reaction of kindness and
compassion.

AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL: Come to the Amnesty International Meeting
today in room 137. We will be working on our December Project. All
new members are welcome.

MASQUE AND MIME: All those going on the field Trip to NYC please meet
in the lobby at 10am this morning.

DECA: There will be a DECA meeting today after school.

NATIONAL ITALIAN HONOR SOCIETY: Just a reminder: There will be a
meeting for all members tomorrow, Thursday, 19th in room 316 at 2pm.
Please be prompt!

OPERATION AMERICA: There is a mandatory meeting tomorrow, directly
after school in room 218. All Operation America members and those
interested in joining must attend!

YEARBOOK: Attention Seniors this is the last week to have your senior
portrait taken for yearbook. No other photo will be accepted. Got
questions – see Mrs. Fletcher or Mrs. Shand room 264.

Student id cards are here! Sophomore, Juniors, Seniors please see
Mrs. Shand room 264 to get yours.

PEER MEDIATION: All Peer Mediators see Mrs. Cephas today regarding
the presentations tomorrow in class.

MASQUE AND MIME: All those going on the field trip please meet in the
auditorium at the end of third period to check in with the advisors.
See list in show case in main lobby. We leave at 10am!

SADD: Attention RCK here is your chance to make a difference in your
life and others. The Great American Smoke out is on November 19th.
There will be information and packets of tools to help you or others
stop smoking in the café during lunch periods.


NHS: Attention students and staff members of RCK. Since Thanksgiving
is next week, NHS will be collecting non-perishable/canned goods for
the rest of the week to donate to Stuff the Bus. Please leave
donations in the red bucket in the front of the main office area or
with your homeroom teachers.

Did you know that 1.5 million blood cells are produced and destroyed
in the human body every second?

Or how about that there are 60,000 miles or blood vessels in your
body?

Did you know that blood makes up about 7% of the bodies weight?
How about the fact that there are about 1 billon red blood cells in
2-3 drops of blood.
What about this statistic: Approx. 34000 units of blood are used
every day in the U.S.

Come to the table outside of guidance today, tomorrow, and Friday
during lunch periods to sign up to donate blood and save a life.

RCK ROTARY INTERACT: This Friday, November 20th, Interact will
host an international dinner from 6:30pm – 8:30pm. Come taste foods
from around the world! Bring $8.00- $10.00 to try Italian, Indian,
and other types of food. All money will go to an orphanage in rural
China. Bring your family and friends.



KETCHAM ATHLETICS: If you are a Fall Athlete who earned all league
status or better please come down to the gym to get your picture taken
for the Wall of Fame – at the end of 3rd period. See Coach Mealy in
the gym lobby- If your picture needs an update please also come down.

JUNIOR CLASS: There is a New York City trip planned for December
18th. Tickets are $35.00 per person and are on sale in the cafeteria
periods 1, 2, 5 & 6 from November 9th – 20th. You sign up with your
group. All groups are chaperoned. We leave RCK by charter bus at
2:30pm and arrive back at 12:00am. You must hand in a permission slip
when you sign up. See Mrs. Cephas in room 221 with any questions.

WAPPINGERS CREW CLUB: First parent meeting for the new spring season
will be at John Jay tonight, November 18th at 6:30pm in room 128, the
large group instruction room.
