Below from Jeff Hansen concerning NEEDED volunteers for Pocahontas this season. Reply to this email to volunteer!

No, you do not have to be an RCBS member to volunteer. If you can't help out by working the events, please help out by getting the word out about what an absolutely great time there is to be had at Pocahontas. Facebook, Twitter, forums, band mailing lists, anything helps. Be sure to remind folks that the events are Pet Friendly - Leashed pets are welcome

We are looking for a minimum of Eight (8) volunteers for each show. As a volunteer you get free admission, free parking, and the knowledge that you are helping out not one, but three great organizations; RCBS, The Friends of Pocahontas State Park, and the staff of Pocahontas State Park. For our GPS equipped volunteers - The Park address is 10301 State Park Rd Chesterfield, VA 23832

So it's time to stand up and be heard, and be the first in line to volunteer for your favorite artists, but honestly, there's not a bad show in the line-up. First a few updates on how and what we will be doing this year.

Pricing: With everyone else raising prices, and all the fun we had trying to make sure we have enough singles for change, we are finally (after 5 years) raising prices to an even $5.00 per beverage. For the first few shows we will also be offering extreme discounts on leftover stock from last season. As in two for 1. We will try and use the truck as often as possible, but will be working closely with Sandy to track advance sales and adjust as needed. The shows I've targeted for the beer truck are underlined.

Apparel: Dress for comfort, RCBS logoed items are encouraged but not mandatory.

Sales: Unless the advance sales are insane, we'll most likely stick with cash and carry. If it looks like a massive crowd we'll break out the tickets.

I will have chilled bottled water for volunteers. Each volunteer will also receive free adult beverages within reason and not while working. I am the sole arbiter of "within reason." Please understand that we cannot compromise our integrity. If we are being tasked with making a judgment call as to whether or not a patron is inebriated and legally cannot be served, then we must ensure our status is above reproach. I say this not because we have had problems, but to avoid having them.

I will also have paper towels for cleanup.

What can you bring? A good attitude is all that's really needed, but I would also strongly suggest a towel as it gets rather warm. If you want, a folding chair can be helpful but is not required - we can get folding chairs from the park for the booth.

Do not attempt to drive your vehicle to the stage area - Park in the lot and walk down the service road.

If you have any questions, please contact me via email old...@been-there.com
