I think I recall there were about 100 of the green Quickbeams (two batches of 50?); and about 100 of the orange ones? Does that sound about right?

I got one of the first orange ones. I was going write a "first impressions" post about it after two years and 5000 miles, but I haven't gotten around to that yet. Maybe I'll write it when the stock Paselas finally wear out. It's a great bike.

Horace.

Heh,

As I was just mentioning in the GP notes thread there was an orange QB
on the homeless frames section in my size and I dropped the ball. :
( Hope whoever got it enjoys it! I may have to jump on that last run
of "real Quickbeams" as they'll be more my size (I'm currently riding
a 66cm Altantis and I'm thinking a 64cm QB would be ideal).

Glad you're enjoying it! The Quickbeam is a beautiful bike!

The QB's have a touch higher BB, so that should work for you.

I think it was -

Green - 100 1st Run
Green - 100 2nd Run (may have been 50)
Orange - 50 1st Run
Orange - 50 2nd Run

and now -
Silver - 70 1st Run (announced, but not yet delivered)

I guess I missed the new Quickbeam announcement. Was it in the last reader?

Anyway, anyone know if this batch will be available as frame only this time?

You've got to be kidding me?!? I've got 1 of 100 orange QB. I mean, I
guess I realized the number would be low, but that low? Now, for a guy
who spent the majority of his biking years on much, much lower end
bicycles...I'm starting to feel like I'm riding around on a Bentley.

Yeah, it's kinda cool to be riding a low serial number bike. I wonder
how many Redwoods were made?

Grant had mentioned it in a post that I forwarded to the list -
http://tinyurl.com/3z88cn

He didn't specify whether there would be frames available.

I bought mine NOS, so it was sitting around a shop for a couple years.  Maybe the stickers are first batch then?

Orange Quickbeam is 67A1054

But the All-Rounder is JS9901 (should be easy to decode this one!)
stamped into the BB shell.
