FS: New in box VO Porteur Rack

This is from the last batch of of Porteur racks hand made by Ahren
Rogers of Banjo Bikes. Rack only. No rail.

Some changes to my current custom build will not work right with this
large, lovely and shiny rack. I took it out of the box once.

Price is $150.00 which includes FedEx ground shipping.

Price is firm - and $40.00 off the VO price. If I cannot sell at this
price, I will donate to an upcoming local bike interest charity
auction. Bargain hunters should check out the VO site which now
offers a Taiwan factory built version with rail for $160.00.

Is your rack still available? Does it mount on the brake bolt or the
bottom of the fork crown?

Still available.

I never installed the rack. However, per the VO site, and my
understanding from looking at the hardware, you have the option of
either installing to the fork or brake bolt.

I think some of the others here may have installed one of these racks
before. Perhaps someone will chime in or has a flckr set showing
installation.

There are, or so it seems, two ways to install the rack. Either you
mount it to both the brake hole in the fork crown, via the included
hardware, and the front drop out eyelets OR you can, as I have, mount
the rack at the eyelets and directly to the front fender. If you don't
have fenders then go with the former. If you do have fenders, probably
only metal ones would work, you'd probably want to gothe way I did. I
really couldn't get it to work any other way.
