Unique constraint - why the back reference?

Hi

Just a quick question. According to this http://old.ravendb.net/faq/unique-constraints
when you create the EmailReference you give the UserId as the only
content. But why is this neccessary? I guess the constraint would fail
even though we just put the email in there and no reference back to
the user document.

Just curious.
