It does make sense. The v2.24 version is labeled as suitable for R 3.0.0. You seem to be the first one to have gotten success, though. Maybe you could post your successful setup in more detail so those of us who are still getting segfaults can learn from you? Is GTK+ installed as a framework. What is your PATH?
