allow path only connect on bottom or top

Hy,

i am playing arround with the graffle demo.

Can anybody help me, by editing the connection function to allow only
connect on center top or center bottom.

Or is there an easier way to do this? I would like to build our company
´s network with swithes an cables ...., so it looks much better with
no left or right connections.
