Need a local partner to set up a permanent in northern Michigan

I often spend 1-2 weeks every summer at the family cottage in northern
Michigan, just outside of Frankfort. (Before anyone gets excited,
think Very Rustic. It would not meet any current building codes.
Summer camp-type building).

I take my bike along. I figure as long as I'm there, I could ride a
permanent. However, there does not exist a single perm in the entire
state of Michigan.

I'd be happy to come up with a route, say, Frankfort up into the
Leelanau Peninsula and back, but I can't own it, because I live too
far away. I could completely dry-lab it here with bikely and google
earth.

Does anyone else vacation in that area in the summer? I know some
folks have the wherewithal to spend the entire summer up there
(nice!). Would there be any randos in that group? Or maybe some
folks live relatively close? Grand Rapids? Holland? Traverse City?

I have family in Holland and spend time there. I would like to see if
something could be done along the west coast of MI.
