Hi All, I just hosted my first ever populaire this weekend. 13 riders started and 13 finished. My family and I made the ride a tribute to my mom who passed away from cancern in March. Mom was my most loyal volunteer-setting up checkpoints in the most remote of places over the years. It was a special time. 13 riders may not sound like a lot but it's a world record for a randonneuring event here in southwest Montana, where randonneurs are a very rare species. My brother clay made a little video slideshow of the event. It's a little tongue in cheek-with super intense arena rock music for such a mellow ride: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V7_kF8qsTaU
