Hey guys,
A couple of people haven't been able to make it and we've sorted out
refunds but I thought I'd post to the list so everyone knows the
process.
If, for some reason, you can't make it to railscamp email me directly
and I'll sort it out. Because of Paypal fees and stuff, we can't give
you the full amount back - we can give you back $175.

Hey John,
At the last RailsCamp we had people who cancelled and other people just bought the tickets directly off them (via bank deposit... saved losing money to Paypal)... and then we changed the details/names in the event system.

Hey Nigel,
I'm aware that we could have taken that approach but my rationale for this follows two points:
1) The scale of this one is quite a bit bigger and I want to keep all ticket history and funds listed in one spot as the opportunity for miscommunication and lost funds and other adminstrative screw ups is a bit bigger. The RC funds spreadsheet is enough of a pain in my ass without having to track transfers etc.
2) We pay a per head cost per person (as long as we don't drop below the agreed minimum from the venue) so it's no skin off our backs if the person who can't make it. It also takes the stress off that person to find someone to take the ticket.
